Background. The present article is devoted to the consideration of historical and cultural monuments of the Lukoyanovsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which are of the greatest interest in the context of the development of various types of cultural and educational tourism. The historical and cultural resources of the Lukoyanovsky Region have been studied, the most attractive tourist attractions have been identified, and the criteria and parameters that can be used to evaluate historical and cultural monuments have been specified. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that it identifies promising areas for the development of cultural and educational tourism in the Lukoyanovsky District.
Purpose. The author aims to study the historical and cultural heritage of the Lukoyanovsky District and to make recommendations for the development of cultural and educational tourism.
Methodology. The study is based on registers, catalogs, lists of historical, cultural and natural heritage sites, periodicals and various documents related to tourism and the protection of historical, cultural, and natural heritage. In addition to traditional historical and geographical methods (historical-comparative, historical-genetic, and comparative-geographical), which are widely used in humanities research, the author uses the historical-subjective method to conduct a comprehensive analysis of cultural and historical sites.
Results. The results of the study are that the author establishes that the existing historical, cultural, and natural recreational resources of the Lukoyanovsky District create favorable conditions for the development of religious, literary, and railway tourism, as well as integrated tourism that combines cultural, educational, and natural-ecological components.
Practical implications. The results of the study can be applied in the programs and projects for the development of cultural and educational tourism in the Lukoyanovsky Municipal District.
Обоснование. Статья посвящена рассмотрению памятников истории и культуры Лукояновского района Нижегородской области, представляющих наибольший интерес в контексте развития различных направлений культурно-познавательного туризма. Изучены историко-культурные ресурсы Лукояновского края, выявлены наиболее привлекательные для туристов достопримечательности, указаны критерии и параметры, которые можно использовать для оценки памятников истории и культуры. Научная новизна исследования состоит в том, что в нем определены перспективные направления развития культурно-познавательного туризма в Лукояновском районе.
Целью исследования является изучение историко-культурного наследия Лукояновского района и разработка рекомендаций по развитию культурно-познавательного туризма.
Материалы и методы. Материалом для исследования послужили реестры, каталоги и перечни памятников исторического, культурного и природного наследия. Использовались также периодические издания и различные документы, регулирующие туристскую деятельность и охрану историко-культурного и природного наследия. Помимо традиционных исторических и географических методов (историко-сравнительного, историко-генетического, сравнительно-географического), широко применяемых в гуманитарных исследованиях, использовался историко-предметный метод, с помощью которого проводился комплексный анализ культурно-исторических памятников.
Результаты. Установлено, что существующие историко-культурные и природно-рекреационные ресурсы Лукояновского района создают благоприятные возможности для развития религиозного, литературного и железнодорожного туризма, а также комплексного туризма, сочетающего культурно-познавательный и природно-экологический компоненты.
Область применения результатов. Материалы исследования могут использоваться при разработке программ и проектов развития культурно-познавательного туризма в Лукояновском муниципальном округе.
